Yes, there is evidence that if a close blood relative has or had vascular problems, you would also be at risk.

No. You are at risk for these other problems, but not directly from the blocked leg artery.

How soon can I fly after leg arterial surgery?
For flights less than one hour you might fly after one week from discharge; but for longer flights try to delay as long as possible, or at least one month.

Yes, elements in cigarette smoke, including nicotine, directly damage blood vessels.

Smoking cessation probably does not reverse the damage in arteries, but it improves general health and allows you to follow other treatments like exercise programs.
